I'm Amanda. I'm a photographer, editor, and writer from Upstate New York.

Desolo is my fine art portfolio. For many years, I spent rare moments of free time turning something I cared deeply about (historic preservation and abandoned buildings) into a personal photography project. The places I’ve visited have all become part of me. Like people, I’ve loved them each uniquely and I miss them terribly when they’re gone.

Life gets in the way, and I don’t shoot as much as I used to. But my time documenting these incredible, temporary spaces remains one of the proudest accomplishments and greatest passions of my life.

My professional work, which I retired from in 2021, specialized in fine art wedding photography. I currently work in the online publishing and tech space.
